New Year, New Theme, New Opportunities

The Los Angeles District has three district services scheduled for 2026, with another one to be added for the fourth quarter of the year, possibly as an Advent service.  Services will be held at LAC.

  • April 12, 2026:  Divine service and Confirmation

  • May 17, 2026: Divine service with our District Apostle Schnabel

  • September 13, 2026:  Divine service and Fall kick-off activity for the Sunday School and Youth

Rehearsals for District Choir are scheduled for February 1, March 1, and March 29, at LAC at 2:00 pm.

New singers are welcome!

A monthly sermon summary and discussion guide is available to enhance the impact of divine services.  For each service, this new guide provides a sermon overview, Biblical context, and discussion questions to inspire digging deeper into God's word.  You can find the January guide here.

Local Live Service Broadcasts for the Los Angeles District

For any members in the Los Angeles District that are shut-ins or otherwise unable to attend service on a given Sunday or monthly midweek service, we will have a Los Angeles District broadcast originating from the San Fernando Valley congregation on their YouTube channel.  All broadcasts are live only and not available as a replay.

As always, the NAC-USA district will also continue to have midweek and Sunday service broadcasts here.  â€‹

Another exciting highlight for 2026 is the Together Conference, June 26-28, in Columbus, Ohio.

LA District Service on October 12, 2025, focused on thankfulness, was a day of blessings

In that service, Pr. Art Klein from the San Bernardino congregation and Pr. Tom Barth from the San Fernando Valley congregation were retired from their ministries.  Both have served the Los Angeles District for many years and we have been richly blessed by what our God has done through them.

Also, in that service, Sharon Dykstra from the Camarillo congregation, Megan Barry, Victoria Barry and Daniel Walker from the San Fernando Valley congregation were ordained as deacons.

After service, we had a soup cook-off with plenty of extras and a harvest festival of fun and games for all ages.

We are in the wonderful Season of Thanksgiving, a special time for us to contemplate the activity of our God in our lives.  What He has done, is doing and will do for us in our lives and into eternity.
